2.2 lessons 10, 11, 12:
arrays and 2d arrays

In this LESSON you will learn about:

Learning Objectives:

  • what an array is
  • what a 2D array is
  • How to manipulate arrays using Python code
  1. Be able to define an Array
  2. Be able to define a 2D Array
  3. Demonstrate Python code skills in Array manipulation

Arrays Quiz

Main:
  1. Ask students to list as many arrays as possible, shopping list, phone keypad etc.
  2. The lesson content is broken down into three parts, start with arrays then 2D arrays and then finally how to manipulate the items in the array.
  3. Work through each theory slide in the class notes, then complete each activity in Python.
  4. The worksheet should be completed during lesson three after the full content has been covered.
