Welcome to the KS3 Computing Curriculum Resource Bank, you will find a wide range of lesson plans, homeworks, worksheets and other materials to support you deliver the new Curriculum. This project is live and will change over time as the course develops and newer and more accurate methods of delivering and assessing the curriculum are developed. There are three sections, the first comprises of an Admin folder with the various professional rational and guidance behind the Curriculum and a also a Baseline test to measure student understanding and progression.
Section two is the main bulk of the curriculum content which is based on the agreed computing standards available here. There are three folders covering the three areas, within each folder there is a overview document that relates to each of the numbered folders. Within each folder are the lesson resources or ideas. When planning a lesson it may be advisable to print out a copy of the each overview as a reference guide to refer back to.
The final section includes a wide range of stand alone Homeworks and several short term projects that could be offered as extension activities, develop other skill areas or as cover.

We are now entering the stage where we no longer use NC levels to grade a students performer and achievement, life after levels. Download the assessment guide booklet below which is designed for the Year 8 curriculum. It monitors the progress of the student in five of the six modules which they study.
