Resources
Starter:
All line up, one student goes out of the room, the other students number themselves from 1 to X.  The other student outside returns, and tries to guess a particular number.  You can give a sweet or other treat to encourage them to guess it correct.
 
Main:
  1. Discuss the starter with each other and how it can be adapted for use when finding lots of information.
  2. This is a LINEAR search.
  3. Take part in the teacher presentation, discussion and notes.
  4. Complete worksheet 1, swap your answers and peer mark the answers.
  5. Try a BINARY search, how is this different.

​​Plenary:​​
List the differences between the Binary and Linear searches, maybe make a bullet pointed list, create a diagram or a poster.
